Visionary author, educator, speaker and 40+ year vegan, Dr. Will Tuttle Ph.D. is joining me today to explore the wide reaching horror and catastrophic consequences of animal agriculture.
Friends, my first conversation in E721: Dr Will Tuttle and The World Peace Diet blew my mind.
We covered some of the main ideas in his best-selling book, The World Peace Diet, which has been called one of the most important books of the 21st century, and has been published in 16 languages. It provides the foundation of a more conscious and peaceful society where liberating animals is the direct path to human liberation, peace, and justice.
I don’t say this lightly when I share if there was ONE book I wish every human would read, contemplate and then assimilate into their lives it is absolutely, The World Peace Diet. I sought out Dr Tuttle for this round two conversation after asking myself: Who do I most want to spend time with right now?
Who embodies the peace, integrity and calm yet unyielding leadership I most respect?
In this conversation Dr Tuttle shares, how we as vegans can effectively help others “heal and to awaken from the dark trance of violence that is the essence of our culture, which is animal agriculture in all its forms.”
We also explore Satyagraha, or truth-force which was a central tenet of Gandhi’s approach to social change. And how speaking our truth can be a powerful way to plant vegan seeds with respect and kindness and without judgment or trying to manipulate others to change.

In this interview we cover:
- Eating animals is “our defining blind spot.”
- In the herding culture the core attitude is EXCLUSION & DOMINATION and the core action that reinforces this is eating animals.
- Satyagraha, or truth-force, was a central tenet of Gandhi’s approach to social change.
- How we as vegans can effectively help others “heal and to awaken from the dark trance of violence that is the essence of our culture, which is animal agriculture in all its forms.”

- The most solid and enduring motivation for action are based on caring for others
- At our core, none of us wants to be a mere automaton blindly following toxic and destructive orders.
Something I neglected to direct our conversation to specifically yet Dr Tuttle did touch on is, the metaphysics of food.
As humans we are becoming increasingly aware that eating high on the food chain means you take in more environmental toxins as these toxins accumulate with each step up the food chain.
And yet what about the metaphysical toxins we ingest and incorporate into our bodies with each meal of animal flesh or secretions?
The vibrations of concentrated terror, grief, pain, frustration, violence.
As Dr Tuttle so persuasively articulates: the earliest and most basic connections we have with our parents are around food and eating. It epitomises being loved and protected.
However we’ve disconnected from the individuals we share this planet with. Until we stop connecting over death and suffering we will never be able to enjoy human liberation, peace, and justice.
