Today I am chatting with Chef Babette about Ageing Strong and Why Love Is Easier Than Hate.
This a powerful, passionate conversation that made me emotional. I had several moments where I thought “Yes, that is something to LIVE by.”
I discovered the amazing Chef Babette via the documentary The Invisible Vegan and my interview with Jasmine C. Leyva. Filmmaker and actress Jasmine, was blown away by the vibrant, plant strong Chef Babette and her smoking hot body… and so was I!
Babette Davis is the chef and owner of ‘Stuff I Eat’, a plant-based restaurant in Inglewood, California. At 72, she is also a captivating force for good who looks and acts decades younger than her years.
This is a conversation about getting stronger, fitter and healthier as we age. About, ignoring the false narrative that tries to convince us our value is in our youth and as the decades go by its natural and normal to get weak and frail.
Chef Babette epitomises the truth that it is never too late to change the habits and lifestyle choices that have been holding you back. Also that love is easier than hate and you body is the first place to show and share that love.
In this conversation we cover:
- How Chef Babette’s life looked and how she felt in her 20’s.
- Going plant-based in her 40’s and the positive impact it had on her health.
- Convincing friends and family is the biggest challenge.
- Why it’s never too late to change and why LOVE is easier than hate.
- The food at Stuff I Eat and how it is a transitional menu.
- The importance of self love and self care.
- Why there is no room to live with hate in your heart.
- The habits Chef Babette prioritise’s to stay positive and grateful.
My heart and mind are blown with the wisdom and conviction perfectly unrestrained and passionately delivered by Chef Babette.
