Tracy Reiman, is the newly appointed President of PETA, marking a historic new chapter for the world’s largest animal rights organisation — and the first leadership change in PETA’s 45-year history.
With more than three decades at PETA, Tracy has helped lead landmark victories against fur, circuses, and animal testing, and now she’s turning her focus to leather, wool, and the humane-washing of meat, dairy, and eggs.
In this conversation, Tracy shares her journey from college activist to president, how PETA is creating the next generation of compassionate consumers, and why modern advocacy means meeting young people where they are — from social media to universities and, concerts.
You know how much I love PETA and how deeply I respect founder, Ingrid Newkirk. And if you’re wondering what’s next for her — don’t worry, Ingrid isn’t slowing down. She’ll continue advocating for animals just as passionately as ever in her new role as PETA’s Principal, while remaining President of the PETA Foundation.

One of many moments that really stuck with me: Take action. Don’t just feel good that someone else is doing the work — step up and do it yourself.
Even small actions add up. If you’re not sure where to start, visit PETA.org to get involved and see how you can make a difference in a way that aligns with your heart.
