When I first discovered Plant Coach, and plantrepreneur Nick Cutsumpas I immediately needed to know more. I loved the sound of his mission to help people excel in plant parenthood. Do we need such a coach you might ask?
And then perhaps you sift through your past experiences in excitedly filling your home with plants only to have them day by day wilt or turn yellow or get brown crinkly bits or get eaten by goodness knows what despite your urgent watering and worrying.
In Nick’s book Plant Coach: The Beginner’s Guide to Caring for Plants and the Planet it is very obvious just how incredibly passionate and enthusiastic he is about plants! However there is so much more to Nick than creating stunning green spaces and nurturing a respect and love for plants.
Nick sees houseplants as a stepping stone toward sustainability and environmental action and is committed to helping those of us who may have previously failed at keeping our plants alive learn how to help them thrive.
Zero judgement.
We need plants more than ever and Nick is a powerful voice for a greener and more compassionate world.
Please enjoy this conversation with Nick Cutsumpas author of, Plant Coach: The Beginner’s Guide to Caring for Plants and the Planet.
- How Nick’s journey to plant parenthood began.
- Why Nick believes a vegan lifestyle is so aligned with caring for plants and the planet
- Nick’s book: Plant Coach: The Beginner’s Guide to Caring for Plants and the Planet.
- The steps Nick takes his clients through as they create their own green spaces.
- Why knowledge isn’t enough, and most people need a shift in plant perspective.
- Humans have spent 99.99% of our evolutionary existence in natural environments.
- The home as an ecosystem: some of the most common mistakes to avoid.
- Houseplants as a stepping stone toward sustainability and environmental action.
I hope this conversation leaves you excited to create your own calm and peaceful – yet not perfect – little green space.
That was one of my many huge takeaways. Plants can teach us patience. In all their beauty they will still have flaws and imperfections and we should learn to accept them, as we should learn to except our imperfections.
To become empowered with the knowledge and confidence you need to create a green space that is better for you, your ecosystem and the planet I recommend you connect with Nick.
