One of the understandably frustrating things about health and weight loss specifically is you can work really hard, make changes that feel like real sacrifices, and still not see results.
Today I’ve invited UK-based, women’s weight loss expert and registered nutritional therapist, Louise Digby on the podcast to discuss how we can create a thriving metabolism, lose weight over 40 and generally feel confident and sexy in our own skin.
A little caveat first. As a personal trainer of nearly 2 decades who has worked with clients who for the most part want to improve the way their body looks, feels and functions – I am ok with the terms weight loss and fat loss.
I felt pressure to not use them for a few years and yet now I have decided if these are the words my clients use to describe the changes they want to make, then great.
I will support them to feel confident in the body they have while helping them sculpt the body they would love.
That said, let’s power on with Louise’s approach to addressing the root causes of a sluggish metabolism and developing a healthy relationship with food.

I love that Louise emphasised the importance of doing the inner work and taking action from a place of self love rather than self hate.
For any health and body transformation result to be sustainable it absolutely must come from a place of, you and your body are a team. Working together.
