Today’s guest, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Melanie Murphy Richter is here with the good news (and data) on using plant-based nutrition to promote longevity, extend health-span, and prevent age-related diseases.
Beyond that, she plants some serious seeds – with this previous fasting sceptic – so far as the positive impact of fasting-mimicking diets (or FMD’s) on cellular regeneration and aging.

For a little official bio: Melanie Murphy Richter, MS, RDN is the 2023 “Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year” by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
As Director of Communications and Medical Science Educator at L-Nutra, she drives the company’s mission to promote health through evidence-based nutrition. Melanie is also a graduate instructor at UC Irvine, where she mentors future healthcare professionals. Founder of Wholistic Ritual, she combines science-backed nutrition with holistic healing.
