Menopause was rarely spoken about until a few years ago.
Thankfully it is something we discuss now and there is also, a lot we can do to reduce symptoms and improve our experience.
Today, I’ve invited vegan menopause coach, registered health and nutrition counsellor, and meditation instructor, Anna Pelzer on the podcast to shine a hopeful light on exactly how women can have a better experience of menopause and feel even more alive and connected to their bodies than they did in their 20s and 30s!
Now that sounds enticing right?
Selfishly, I also want to chat peri-rage as that has been my main personal symptom thus far, and of course we will dig in with vegan approaches to Hormone Replacement Therapy. They do exist, however you need to do your due diligence to avoid potential animal-derived lactose and/or gelatin and, get ready to be repulsed… pregnant mare urine!

Peri and menopause is a time of life where for many of us the best approach is likely NOT to just push on through, like we have for decades.
Professional advice and support can make the experience vastly more enjoyable and yet as Anna shares perhaps: As a vegan, you are not feeling supported by traditional menopause advice.
Gosh, isn’t that the case with much traditional medicine?
Thankfully in every field there are now professionals committed to helping you while respecting your vegan lifestyle.
We have a youth based society. So a lot of women are feeling anxiety around aging. And I would say there's so many benefits to this phase of life.
