My guests today Shoshana and Adam Chaim are a #plantstrong powerhouse couple bringing up 2 plant-based thriving kids!
Though years ago they led a fairly typical – if on the gym going “healthier” side of things lifestyle that including all the standard animal products we’re brought up to believe “we need” to be fit, strong and healthy as athletes and indeed in life.
It took a major wake up call with Adam’s health before their family adopted a plant-based lifestyle. As you might guess it was not a simple over night transition. This really is an inspiring story.
The type of story that needs to be shared because unfortunately too many of us believe our health outcomes lie first at the mercy of our genetics and then purely in the hands of medical professionals and modern medicine.
Not to discount the huge medical advancements we are so incredibly lucky to have access to.
However what if at 35 you were told you wouldn’t make it to 40? That is the devastating news Adam and Shoshana faced.
You know there’s a happy ending however before we get to it and before we share an abundance of goodness to help create healthy plant based recipes for families and especially tips to get kids onboard with this way of eating… here’s a little official bio:
Adam and Shoshana Chaim are the co-hosts of the popular Plant Trainers Podcast, helping you improve your quality of life through nutrition and fitness. They are both also public speakers and authors of the Yummy Foods Activity Book For Kids.
Shoshana is an expert in plant-based nutrition and cellular communication and wellness. She works with health practitioners and individuals to increase cellular health and achieve rockstar wellness. Adam is a plant-based athlete and nutrition & fitness coach with over 20 years of experience and a certificate in plant-based nutrition. He is a 2X Ironman triathlete, completed several marathons and ultra runs and swims and successfully helps individuals with their nutrition and athletic endeavours big or small.
