My guest today asks, Are you ready to BE IT in health, fitness, business, love, personal goals, travel and more?
Lesley Logan is a 2nd generation certified Pilates teacher, breath-work, habits, and mindset coach, and the founder of OnlinePilatesClasses.com – the first free online catalogue of Pilates exercise tutorials.
She’s been teaching since 2008, has run multiple studios, trained hundreds of instructors, and helped thousands of students worldwide. When she’s not leading life-changing Pilates retreats, she’s hosting her podcast Be It Till You See It—a message she truly lives by.
Lesley is all about defeating self-doubt, prioritising yourself, and making movement something you want to do, not something you have to do. She shares powerful insights on shifting your mindset, creating habits that actually stick, and balancing ambition with self-care.
Quick side-note: this was recorded during Cyclone Alfred here in Australia – so there is a bit of cutting in and out, however it’s still clear and I feel like Lesley’s incredible energy pulls us through.
- How travel has influenced Lesley’s approach to wellness and mindset.
- Lesley talks about prioritising yourself – did this come from a place of first NOT prioritising herself?
- What’s a habit or mindset shift that made the biggest difference in truly owning prioritising herself.
- Many people struggle with self-doubt, especially when stepping outside their comfort zone. What’s does Lesley suggest to shift from doubt to confidence?
- Entrepreneurship can be a rollercoaster. Lesley shares a moment when she thought, Maybe this isn’t going to work—and how she pushed through?
- Are there common misconception / or mistakes in relation to Pilates that Lesley loves busting?
- Exactly how Lesley teaches and recommends Pilates is taught (she learnt from one of Joseph Pilates students). Plus, what to look for in a Pilates instructor.
- How to show up for yourself through movement. Also, how to shift your mindset around movement from “something I have to do” to something you want to do.
- For high achievers who struggle with slowing down, how does Pilates teach us to tune in rather than just push harder?
- Lesley helps people BE IT till they SEE IT – first, what’s this fabulous acronym?
- Next, what’s something she is are currently working on BEING?
Those impactful take-aways came hard and fast right?
I especially loved Lesley’s advice to: Ditch perfection earlier. Take messy action.
Plus, Act on (good) free advice like you’ve paid for it.
To recap that acronym, BE IT (till you see it!) is:
Bold, Executable, Intrinsic and/or Targeted.
I think Bold, is the part I can get better at. Although, of course bold is subjective.
If you feel like prioritising yourself, would be bold – I invite you to please give it a try. Just a test drive as Lesley suggests. Perhaps 20 minutes of movement each morning. Or 10 minutes of journaling each evening. You could get carried away and try both!
So it's Be It Till You See It, which is not fake till you make it. It's acting as if you've already got the thing that you wanted to have. How would you act? What would you do today? Share on XLesley’s website: https://lesleylogan.co/
