I am incredibly grateful to be able to share this powerful conversation with you. Jacque Salomon is a force for good —an advocate, a leader, a mother, and a woman who has transformed unimaginable loss, into a mission of healing and empowerment, using food as medicine.
She is testament to, how we can carry the warmth and goodness of loved ones who no longer share this world, forward in how we choose to show up and contribute.
As the Founder and Executive Director of Seeds to Inspire Foundation and CEO of Angel in the Stone, Jacque is dedicated to making health and wellness accessible, especially for communities that need it most.
Her journey is extraordinary. A transformation to heal mind, body, and spirit. Jacque lost 164 pounds, reversed her Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, and GERD. She has reclaimed her vitality through the power of plant-based nutrition and holistic health.
Jacque is on a mission to serve and uplift others, working alongside community leaders and healthcare professionals to create sustainable change through education, food as medicine, gardens, and wellness programs.
In this conversation we cover:
- The impact of devastating loss. Jacque, and I honour her little Josh.
- How did you begin to pick yourself up such a loss?
- Growing up in New York city – the highs and lows – with young parents who worked 3 jobs each.
- Jacque’s health journey of losing 164 pounds plus reversing Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and GERD with a whole food plant-based diet.
- How Jacque came to a place of healthy relationship with her body, and the importance of loving ourselves unconditionally.
- The end of contact with her mother when Jacque came to understand, love doesn’t (shouldn’t) hurt and she needed to be healthy for her mental health.
- How Love and compassion are easier than hate. Be it love for the animals, our community and 100% of course for ourselves.
- Addressing health equity through ‘food as medicine.’
- Spreading a message of hope and recovery with Jacque’s foundation, Seeds to Inspire.
i know you could feel the raw love, passion and compassion emanating from Jacque.
Although I prepared myself to create a safe space for her, I did not know how impactful and emotional, Jacque’s openness and generosity in sharing her heart’s work would be for me too.
If you are dealing with crushing loss, family trauma, a battle to love yourself unconditionally while also committing to transform and turn up for your body and your health… or any of the subjects Jacque spoke to I know there is no fast-forward.
The work is not easy.
Yet, I trust hearing Jacque’s story can give you hope and heart that there is an alternate future where love, health, joy and meaningful change does exist.
I just said I'm done, feeling and hurting, love should not hurt. I'm so tired of loving people more than I'm loving myself. My boys need me, what am I modelling for them? Who am I teaching them to be? Share on X This is a male dominated world & my role as a mother was to do my best to bring conscious men into this world. What was I modelling for them? It was that kind of self love that I said, no. Love will win. I don't know how…but love will win. Share on XContact with Jacque and Seeds To Inspire via the website: https://www.seedstoinspire.org/
